Organic Meat. The decision to farm organically was made five years ago, and since then farm has altered in many ways, by not using artificial fertiliser any more, we have to make better use of the natural recourses that we do have. Also with not spraying weeds we have to try to control them by cutting before they can produce viable seeds.

Because we don't use artificial fertiliser we have established clover in many of the fields, this plant fixes nitrogen from the atmosphere which in turn feeds the grasses. There are also crops of turnips grown on the flatter and more fertile fields for sheep to eat over the winter months. We have also experimented with Chicory. This plant has natural properties in the health of the sheep.
